When the New Year comes, my family goes to the shrine for a first visit and eat osechi and zoni. There are kurikinton, black beans, datemaki and tadukuri in osechi in my home. It also contains quail eggs and cucumber, ham and cheese skewers.
There was also a gathering of relatives, where I received new year’s gifts from my grandparents and uncles.
I ate osechi too.
